Dragonfly: Blue Eyed Darner

This dragonfly is common to the western United States. It can be found near slow moving bodies of water. I found this particular dragonfly in the middle of my street in autumn. I carefully scooped it up to save it from being squished and brought it home to paint it.

Each print is embellished with iridescent paint on the wings to make them shimmer.
