Leaves are a powerful symbol of starting anew. Many trees lose all their leaves each year in preparation for winter and grow them anew each spring. This is an incredible process. I think the even more miraculous thing about leaves is their ability to generate food and energy directly from the sun, thus feeding not only the tree, but a whole ecosystem. In renewing its own supply, it positively affects life around it. I hope to have a similar affect. In renewing my own sense of self through my art, I hope you are positively affected.
