Upland Larkspur

Delphinium nuttallianum

Watercolor on Arches Hotpress Paper, 8x10

This small Delphinium grows in Utah’s mountain meadows. It is toxic, and a striking almost sparkly blue. Native peoples used the flowers as dye or ink to color arrows and other items for ceremonies.
