It is an intimate experience to have someone who loves me to run their fingers through my hair playfully. I feel both vulnerable and deeply cared for.

The breeze flowing through my hair gives me a similar feeling, except I feel a connection to the Earth. I imagine Mother Earth cares for me and the meadows in much the same way.

These are both Utah native plants that grow near my home away from home in central Utah. This is painted in watercolor on Arches hot press watercolor paper.
