Sprouting: Big Tooth Maple

Acer grandidentatum

Watercolor, graphite, and gold leaf on paper, 8x10

Each year a hundred new ideas and desires sprout, but only a few survive and become something more. The same is true for maple seeds. This one has taken hold and is on its way to meet its full potential. Not every seed becomes a tree, this is a tribute to the seeds/ideas that do.
