This Utah native wildflower grows near seeps and streams. Native peoples used the leaves as food, or to make a poultice for the treatment of wounds.

The flower is painted in watercolor, and the dissections are in graphtie. From right to left they are: Opening seed pod, mature ovary, Sepals surrounding ovary, and a leaf.
