Scarlet Globemallow (Sphaeralcea coccinea)

This Utah native wildflower can be found in dry grassy areas. It begins to show its vibrant blooms in May. This plant has been used by native tribes for a variety of uses including: medicine for sores and wounds, and to fill small holes in earthen vessels.
