Found Things

Watercolor, 10x15”

A collection of natural findings painted on Kelmscott vellum. Each item represents a little memory from my life: a quiet walk in the woods with my husband, a daughter who thought of me on her way home, a friend who visited my mountain property, an adventure with my sons, spring cleaning my garden, or cleaning out an ant filled bathtub after a child left sugar scrub out.

Like this collection of small fragments of nature, our lives are a collection of little things we find along the way, a memory, a connection, or a kindness, that form a larger whole. I invite you to reflect on how the beauty of the little things in your life come together to make you you.
