Wildflowers
For my final diploma portfolio piece, I did a combination of three Utah native wildfowers. Western Coneflower (Rudbeckia occidentalis), Showy Goldeneye (Heliomeris multiflora), and Utah Sweetpea (——-). I agonized over the composition. Seriously, I spent hours drawing, erasing, choosing different plants, rearranging, and searching through my study pages. I fell in love with this little bumble bee (Bombus huntii) that likes Western Conelfowers. The orange stripes on its fuzzy little bum make me happy.
