Butterflies of Utah

Next up on my project list is to paint butterflies of Utah. I have eight butterflies on the list, and if I’m feeling it, a dragonfly. I lack the experience to go out and catch my own butterflies. Fortunately for me, I can buy many of them online. The trouble I’m running into is rehydrating them to open their wings. I have broken half of them. Luckily, I only need half of the wings to be in good shape to make them symmetrical. I was hoping to make a cool display of the butterflies after I’m done. Now I’m not so sure that is going to work.
