Final Assignment

This assignment too roughly 70 hours to complete. The first 10 hours was an entirely different painting, which I haven’t completed. I changed course before putting paint on paper. I’ll finish that another day.

I love Utah’s local flower farms. My husband has bought me flower subscriptions for valentines day several times, and getting fresh tulips and daffodils every week is my favorite. So when I needed to change direction on my assignment, I immediately thought of my favorite flower farm: Sego Lilly Flower Farms. I messaged Fawn and she put a bouquet together for me. She loaded it with so many beautiful flowers. I wish I had the time to include every one of them in my painting. Dahlias, zinnia, scabiosa, feverfew, mint, coralberry, ageratum, and ammi made a harmonious and interesting bouquet.

Now, it’s time to take a little rest before tackling my three diploma portfolio pieces. My studio needs tidying. My yard needs to be prepared for winter. I need to get outside and be inspired for what lies ahead: three paintings and an essay.
