Assignment 11

This is my last assignment before my final diploma portfolio pieces. It is a mixed flower study. I was going to paint more Sego Lillies. I really enjoyed the small sego lily study I did this summer, and want to paint more. I ended up going a different direction for the assignment.

We have some really great local small flower farms here. One of my favorites is Sego Lilly Flower Farm. I reached out to Fawn, the owner, and was able to get a fabulous bouquet for the assignment. She included a variety of textures and harmonious colors. Really, she did the hardest part of the painting process for me. I just wish I had the time to include everything she put in the bouquet for me. Perhaps I will use the other flowers for one of my final portfolio pieces.
