Shop Opening and New Paintings

I will be opening my shop for you to buy prints in time for your holiday shopping.

Both the Sego Lilies and Scarlet Globemallow will be available, and more will be added in the next week.

In between preparing for my online shop to open, I have been working on one of my final portfolio pieces.
It’s a study of one of my all time favorite landscape plants. Serviceberry, also known as Saskatoon, or Juneberry. It is a fairly large shrub that is covered with white blooms in the early spring. In June the crimson berries turn violet to let you know they are ready for picking. The fruit is sweet and juicy. In the autumn the leaves turn bright yellow/orange. Not many plants can claim to be happy in Utahs extreme climate and provide such a variety of interesting colors and shapes throughout the year.
